| Description: | Mountain Home TV, a small building located at 901 Hwy 62 SW, opened its doors in 1953. With the rise of technology, color televisions had just been approved by the FCC, and at the time, many households were lucky to own a small, black and white television. Over the next two decades, Mountain Home grew, and along with it, grew the demands of the common consumer. In the late seventies, Mountain Home TV added major household appliances to satisfy these demands. In the year 1987, the business took a new path and added furniture and bedding, thus calling for a relocation and expansion of the building to allow for more room. Today, Mountain Home TV, Furniture and Appliance is located at 700 Hwy 62 East. Mountain Home is a small city that is continuously growing. Dirt roads have been paved and bridges have replaced ferries. Deliveries are better accessed now, and have become much easier and faster. With this growth (particularly in the last few years), the competition of Big Box stores has grown as well. With the needs of our customers still our main focus, we took the initiative to join a national buying group called “Brand Source”. This would allow us to be competitive with the Box Stores when it came to price, but it has also allowed us to remain a family owned and operated business that can still focus on the needs of our customers. Running for over fifty years now, we have gone through relocation and name changes, but our dedication and commitment to our customers is unscathed. |
